At the present the CONAVI company is not working the roads of Monteverde, then all these ways in to this beautiful are are open at all. Our government is trying to improve the costa rican gravel streets, for example the road from Candelaria until San Rafael. This one is one of the three ways to get to Monteverde area. CONAVI is working on it to pave it and make it a faster and safer way to drive. That's why is closed, but there is a different way to get to Candelaria and then continue to Las Juntas or vice versa--that one is the way that goes to Tilarán (Cañitas-Turín-Cabeceras-El Dos-Candelaria).
